Impaired Driving At approx. 9:05 PM last night City Police stopped a vehicle on Wellington St.E. that was observed driving erratically. Upon speaking to the driver the officers noticed that the driver was Impaired.

At approx. 9:05 PM last night City Police stopped a vehicle on Wellington St.E. that was observed driving erratically. Upon speaking to the driver the officers noticed that the driver was Impaired. As a result Donald Turner, age 36, of 166 Andrew St. was arrested for Impaired Driving and Drive Over 80 mgs. Mr. Turner will be appearing in court on Monday Nov. 6th at 9:00 AM.

Open Liquor & a False Name

At approx. 3:30 AM this morning City Police investigated a male that was walking on Gore St. with an open bottle of liquor. Upon speaking to the male in regards to the liquor law and asking him to identify himself the accused gave a false name on two occasions. As a result the accused was arrested for Obstructing Police. When the officers did finally identify the accused it was learned that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The accused, Christian Boissoneau, age 24, of 536 Goulais Ave. Apt 306 will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM. Mr. Boissoneau is charged with Obstruct Police and Breach of Probation (warrant).

Domestic Disturbance

At approx. 9:30 PM last night City Police were called to a centrally located address regarding a domestic. Upon police arrival the victim informed the officers that her ex-common-law boyfriend assaulted her. It is alleged that the accused grabbed the victim by the arm and dragged her into the residence. Once inside the accused banged the victim’s head off the wall and door before throwing her down onto the floor and sitting on her. The victim did eventually get to a phone and call police. The accused, a 24-year-old male is charged with Assault and Breach of an Undertaking. The accused was on a previous release document with conditions to stay away from the victim. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM. Victim did not require medical attention for her injuries.

Break & Enter, Threatening Death & Breach

At approx. 10:30 PM last night City Police were called to investigate a break and enter to a residence. Upon arrival the police were informed that the suspect in the break and enter was the ex-common-law boyfriend of the complainant. The victim reports that her ex-boyfriend entered her home and called her at her father’s residence. While on the phone the accused is also alleged to have threatened the victim’s father. The accused was located and arrested at 4:50 AM this morning. The accused a 29-year-old male is charged with: Break and Enter, Threatening Death, two counts of Breach of Probation and three counts of Breach of an Undertaking. The accused will be in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

Multiple Break & Enters on Prince Lake Road

City Police received eight reports of break and enters to camps on the Prince Lake Rd. yesterday. Anyone with a camp in that area is requested to check their camp to make sure it is secure and was not entered. Thieves are taking advantage of the fact that most camps are now being closed up for the winter and camp owners don’t check their camps on a regular basis.

Other break and enters reported yesterday were:

1. A residence in the 300 block of Moody St. where thieves stole a stereo unit.

2. A residence in the 200 block of Beverly St. At this location culprit(s) forced the rear door to gain entry but were freighted off by the residence that were in the home at the time of the entry. This incident took place between 6:340 PM and 7:00 PM.

Vehicles Damaged

The City Police also received three complaints of vehicles being damaged. Vehicles parked in the 100 block of Huntington Park, the 1100 block of Wellington St.W. and the 100 block of Parkshore Dr. were damaged.
