On October 21, 2015 at 9:05 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Patrick Service, age 41, and Krista Merola, age 32, both of Green Lane, Thessalon for Robbery and Break and Enter.

On October 21, 2015 at 9:05 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Patrick Service, age 41, and Krista Merola, age 32, both of Green Lane, Thessalon for Robbery and Break and Enter. It is alleged that on October 9th, 2015 the accused broke into a residence and stole jewelry and a small amount of cash from the victim. The accused with appear in bail court today.

On October 21, 2015 at 9:00 am Police Officers arrested and charged Cody Quesnel, age 22 of Albert St.  with Threatening. On August 20th, 2015 it is alleged he threatened to stab another male. Quesnel will appear in court October 21st.

On October 21, 2015 11:08 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Chris Bonnell, age 55 with Theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that he stole some grocery items from Walmart. He will appear in bail court on November 23rd.Sometime between the 16th and 20th of October, four Blizzack snow tires on 8 bolt GMC aluminum rims were stolen from an address in the 300 block of Goulais Avenue. The value and rims are estimated to be worth $1,500.

UPDATE: The dirt bike that was stolen from the shed on Albert Street West has been recovered.

On October 20, 2015, city police responded to a shoplifting call at the Station Mall. Store security allegedly observed a male conceal an item under his coat and leave the store without paying for the item. Store security located the accused but the accused would not cooperate with the security officer. The accused ran off. Police located the accused a short distance away and he was arrested for theft under $5,000. A check of the accused was done and it was found that the accused was on a recognizance with conditions and also an undertaking. Charles Lambert Rathbone age 50 stands charged with theft under $5,000, breach of recognizance and breach of an undertaking. The will appear in bail court on October 21, 2015 at 10 a.m.

On October 20, 2015, city police continued an arrest made by a loss prevention officer employed at one of the stores in the Cambrian Mall. The accused Jade Alexandra Shawanda, age 23, allegedly concealed an item of clothing in her purse and left the store without paying for the clothing. She was apprehended by security. The accused was with another female that was on a trespass notice and was not to be in the store. Police attended and it was found that there were outstanding warrants on both individuals. The accused Jade Alexandra Shawanda stands charged with 2 counts of theft under $5,000, failing to attend court, mischief, and breach of probation X 4. The second accused Sidney Ashley Shaganash, age 19, stands charged with theft under $5,000, mischief and failing to attended court. Both accused are to appear in bail court on October 21, 2015 at 10 a.m.

On October 20, 2015, city police executed a search warrant in the west end of the city. It is alleged that approximately 2,541 grams of cannabis marijuana was seized. Also seized as a result of the warrant was drug paraphernalia, growing equipment and a growing schedule. Two occupants were arrested. Police charged Lisa Nicole Carolei, age 36 with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on November 23, 2015 at 9 a.m. A male age 36, was also arrested and stands charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance. The accused will appear in bail court on October 21, 2015 at 10 a.m.

Update: The 36 year old male charged in the above incident is Marc Millette, age 36 of Asquith St. Sault Ste. Marie.
