A 23 year old male was arrested at 06:00 a.m. this morning charged with 5 counts of assault on his girlfriend of six months. The allegations date back to 5 separate incidents of alleged violence towards her since June of 2014.

A 23 year old male was arrested at 06:00 a.m. this morning charged with 5 counts of assault on his girlfriend of six months.  The allegations date back to 5 separate incidents of alleged violence towards her since June of 2014.  He was transported to bail court this morning.

On November 5th Officers from the Crime Suppression Unit arrested and charged Stephen Kerr, age 45 of 215 Meadow Park Cres., Sault Ste. Marie, for Possession of Obtained by Crime. It is alleged he was in possession of a stolen outboard motor stolen from the rear of a pick-up truck parked in Pino’s parking lot on Trunk Road on 04 Nov 2014 at 10:00 a.m. He will appear in court on Dec. 8th.

On the 4th of November, 2014, at approximately 4:05 p.m., Patrol Services arrested Simon Joseph BARNES, 19 years old of Borron Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie for assault and unlawfully in a dwelling. It is alleged the accused attended a downtown residence, entered and assault a female victim known to him. The victim was assaulted by being pushed down to the floor and punched several times in the back of the head. The victim did not require any medical attention. Accused will appear in court on December 8, 2014.

On the 4th of November, 2014, at approximately 7:42 p.m., Patrol Services arrested a 37-year-old female for three counts of breaching her probation orders in the north end of the city. Officers attended the accused's residence with regards to a call for assistance. The domestic investigation revealed the accused had breached her probation order by not keeping the peace and being of good behaviour, consuming alcohol and breaching a non-communication order issued by the Ontario Court of Justice. The accused will appear in Bail Court today, November 5, 2014.

On the 5th of November, 2014, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Patrol Services arrested a 19-year-old male for two counts of breaching his probation order in the downtown area of the city. Officers attended the accused residence with regards to a call for assistance to check on the well-being of the victim. The domestic investigation revealed the accused had breached his probation order by not keeping the peace and being of good behaviour and breaching a non-communication order issued by the Ontario Court of Justice. The accused will appear in Bail Court today, November 5, 2014.
