Afternoon release: On May 8 at approximately 1:10 p.m., Albert Harman of 26 Allen Street was arrested for driving while disqualified. It is alleged that the accused was observed driving a pickup truck on Bruce Street and go through a red light.

Afternoon release:

On May 8 at approximately 1:10 p.m., Albert Harman of 26 Allen Street was arrested for driving while disqualified.  It is alleged that the accused was observed driving a pickup truck on Bruce Street and go through a red light.  Upon being stopped he was found to be a disqualified driver.  He was charged with driving with disqualified and will be appearing in court on June 10th

29 year old Matthew Lanktree of 524 Goulais Avenue was arrested on a warrant.  It is alleged that Mr. Lanktree failed to appear in court on May 18th and a warrant was issued for his arrest.  He was given a new court date of June 24th.

19 year old Kaitland Laforge of no fixed address was arrested and will be going to bail court tomorrow.  It is alleged that on the 8th of May the accused went to the Dollarama in the station mall and left the store with several items without paying for them.  She is then alleged to have gone to the Wal-Mart where she selected some groceries and a purse and left the store without paying.  She was apprehended by security and police were called.  She was charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and two counts of breach of probation.

Arrests/Charged Persons: 

On May 7, 2013, officers assigned to the Street Team arrested 19 year old Kaitland Rathbone-Laforge.  It is alleged that Ms. Laforge was observed walking on Albert Street East near Tancred Street while on conditions not to be in that area. Ms. Laforge will be appearing in court June 3, 2013.

 A 42 year old male was arrested and charged with one count of breaching his recognizance of bail in regards to a domestic incident. The accused was released from Bail Court on the morning of May 7, 2013 on conditions he not have any communication with a female complainant. It is alleged on the evening of May 7, 2013 the male breached that condition by phoning her.   He will be appearing in Bail Court.

 Other:

Traffic Services is requesting the public’s assistance regarding an investigation of a motor vehicle collision.  The collision occurred on Tuesday  May 7, 2013 around 8:45 pm on Carmen’s Way and Wellington Street West. The collision involved a tractor trailer and a white Nissan car.  Any person who may have witnessed the collision or having any information is asked to contact Sault Ste.
