At noon hour on May 22nd, 2013 Police Officers were called to a residence on James St. for a break and enter complaint. The resident advised that sometime in the previous two days their home was entered and thieves made off with medication and clothing.

Traffic Services wish to speak with Cyclist involved in collision Tuesday night

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service Traffic division is investigating a motor vehicle collision on Tuesday, the 21st of May 2013, involving a silver Ford pickup and a cyclist riding a white Specialized bicycle.  The collision occurred at the intersection of Lake Street and Village Court at approximately 9:30pm.  Officers are looking to speak with the Cyclist or anyone that may have witnessed the collision.  Please contact Traffic Services at 705-949-6300 ext 348.

Morning release:

A 17 year old female was arrested by City Police officers last night for a mischief charge from the 19th of May. It is alleged the young person caused damage to a wall and a kitchen table at the residence which she was staying at. She will be appearing in Youth Court June 25th.

City Police attended to two separate Bear calls overnight. One was at the top end of Lake Street and the other was in the Westridge area. Residents are reminded once again not to leave garbage out or anything else that may attract bears to the area.
