On May 12 city police were called to a disturbance at a downtown Macs Mart at approximately 8:30 p.m. Investigation revealed that two females stole chips, gum and pepperettes.

On May 12 city police were called to a disturbance at a downtown Macs Mart at approximately 8:30 p.m. Investigation revealed that two females stole chips, gum and pepperettes. They also were allegedly damaging products in the store by opening and consuming items as well as throwing product from the shelves onto the floor. As a result, 22-year-old Jade Shawanda and 18-year-old Sidney Shaganash, both of Sweetgrass Street in Garden River, were charged with theft under $5,000 and mischief. Shawanda was also on Probation to Keep the Peace and be good and was charged with breaching that condition as well. Both women will be appearing in Provincial Court June 15.

On the afternoon of May 12, 2015 patrol officers located and arrested a 32-year-old male regarding a domestic incident.  It is alleged that the male continually called and texted his ex-girlfriend which contravened the conditions of a Peace Bond he had previously entered into. He will be appearing in bail court May 13, 2015.
