Break ins A business in the 100 block of Great Northern Road was broken into sometime overnight last night. A window was broken to gain entry and it appeared the thief attempted to locate the till but was unsuccessful. Nothing else was taken.

A business in the 100 block of Great Northern Road was broken into sometime overnight last night. A window was broken to gain entry and it appeared the thief attempted to locate the till but was unsuccessful. Nothing else was taken.

A vehicle in the 500 block of Wallace Terrace was entered overnight. The complainant advised City Police medication and $700 in cash was stolen from the vehicle.

A homeowner in the 500 block of Charles Street came home this afternoon and noticed one of his doors had been kicked in. When he entered his residence he confronted a lone male intruder inside. The male fled the house without his shoes on and the Police Canine unit was called to perform a track. After some time the male suspect was not located. A small amount of cash and some medication was stolen.

Arrests/Charged Persons:

On March 5, 2013 at approximately 4:45 pm officers arrested a male age 42 on an outstanding warrant for charges of assault and sexual assault.  It is alleged that between February 28 and March 1, 2013 the accused did assault the victim by striking the victim in the right shoulder and forcing the victim to the floor and attempted to choke the victim.  Further it is alleged in the same time period the accused did force oral and anal intercourse upon the victim.  The accused will appear in bail court on March 6, 2013 at 10:00am.

Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:

On March 5, 2013 between 1:15 pm and 10:20pm a residence in the 100 block of Walnut Street was entered by forcing a side door.  Jewelry, coins and an LCD television was taken.
