DRUG BUST Yesterday, a 15-year-old student was at high school with drug paraphernalia on his person as well as a 5-gram vial with greenish tar-like residue around the rim. This substance is believed to be cannabis resin.

Yesterday, a 15-year-old student was at high school with drug paraphernalia on his person as well as a 5-gram vial with greenish tar-like residue around the rim. This substance is believed to be cannabis resin.

The accused is on probation with conditions not to possess and non-prescription drugs. At 10:25 am, officers went to the school and arrested and charged the youth with Breach of Probation and Possession of a Controlled Drug. He will appear in court in early July.


BANK FRAUD
On May 2nd, the accused, Ryan Point, age 23 of Joel Court, made an empty envelope deposit for over $600 at the Green Machine inside Wal-Mart. He then allegedly made six withdrawals for a total over $400 from the machine.

Investigators from the fraud unit investigated this incident and on June 3 at 1:13 p.m., arrested and charged the accused with fraud under $5,000. He will appear in court on July 7.


BREACH OF PROBATION
Yesterday, a 13-year-old male was found to be breaching his probation order by associating with another young male. Police had been called to a downtown school to investigate a potential vandalism occurrence.

While there, police spoke with the accused who was associating with a person he was not supposed to be with. Officers arrested and charged the youth with breach of probation. He will appear in court in early July.


POSSESSION OF STOLEN TV
On May 8 at 4:00 p.m., Duane Conway, age 22 of 196 Cathcart Street was allegedly in possession of a television set stolen from the Diplomat Hotel. The accused had gone to a pawnshop and pawned the TV for a small amount of cash on June 3.

Officers located Conway at his residence yesterday at 9:50 p.m. and arrested and charged him with possession of stolen property. He will appear in court on July 21.


BREAK & ENTERS
Police investigated several break and enters overnight and yesterday. At 9:30 a.m., staff from the Girl Guides office at 648 Queen Street East called and advised that sometime between Saturday and yesterday morning, a person had entered their office.

Shortly after 5:00 p.m. yesterday, a patrol officer was stopped by the resident of an apartment on Albert Street and advised the apartment had been entered.

At 12:10 this morning, officers were dispatched to a home on Bush Street where thieves broke into a shed but were unsuccessful at breaking into the house.

At 6:08 this morning, police were advised that sometime overnight thieves broke into Anna McCrea School at 250 Mark Street and removed some computer equipment.

LOCK CITY DAIRIES' COW IS STOLEN
At 7:49 a.m. yesterday, the police service was d that the Lock City Dairies' cow, "Sue" had been stolen from the store on the corner of Second Line West and Airport Road. If you have any information, you are asked to call police.
