Youth Charged with Drinking under Age
Early this morning City Police were called to an east end residence in regards to minors drinking. Upon arrival officers located a 17-year-old youth – under the influence of alcohol. Further investigation revealed that the youth was on a court release document with two conditions: Not to Consume Alcohol and a 10:00 PM curfew. The youth had breached both these conditions and was arrested on two counts of Breach of Recognizance. The youth was arrested and will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.
Three Males Arrested Regarding Warrants.
1. Sanford Roy, age 35, of 431 Wellington St.E. Apt. # 1 attended at the police station, at 4:45 PM, and turn himself in on warrants for Being Unlawfully at Large and two counts of Breach of Probation. Mr. Roy will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.
2. Lance Walker, age 19, of 404 Spadina Ave., turned himself in to police at 12:25 PM for warrants regarding Possession of a Controlled Substance and Failing to Appear in Court. He will be appearing in court on Monday Aug 8th at 9:00 AM.
3. At approx. 7:15 PM yesterday evening City Police attended at the bus terminal and arrested
30-year-old Paul Campbell, of North Spirit Lake- First Nations. Mr. Campbell was arrested on a warrant for Failing to Appear in Court and Break and Enter charges that dare back to 1999. Mr. Campbell will be appearing in court today at 10:00 AM.
Theft Charges Laid
At approx. 4:15 PM yesterday afternoon City Police arrested James Porcell and charged him with Theft Under $ 5,000. and Possession of Stolen Property. It is alleged that between May 1st and June 30th. Mr. Porcell stole a quantity of sporting equipment, valued at approx. $ 350.00, and was in possession of that property. James Porcell, age24, of 40 Indiana Dr. will be appearing in court on Monday Aug15th at 9:00 AM.
Male Charged with Theft
At approx. 6:50 PM yesterday evening the City Police were called to the Bank of Montreal at 556 Queen St.E. in regards to a mischief complaint. Upon arrival officers noticed that a front door window was broken. Two witnesses directed the officers to the alleged culprit. Charged with Mischief Under $ 5,000. is 28-year-old Jeffrey Iahtail, of Thunder bay, Ont. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM. The damage to the window is estimated at approx. $ 500.00.
