Male Charged with Assault

A 36-year old male will appear in a bail court this morning after being arrested yesterday morning. Just after 6:30 am yesterday morning City Police attended at a downtown residence. It is alleged that the accused got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend and it is alleged that the accused then assaulted her by punching her in the face. At the time of the offence the accused was on conditions no to consume alcohol and it is alleged that the accused had been consuming alcohol. The accused has been charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of a release document.

Youth Charged with Breach of Probation

A 16-year old youth will also appear in bail court this morning. It is alleged that the accused failed to abide by a curfew of 10 pm as stated on a probation order and failed to be in their residence by that time on July 25th. It is also alleged that the youth failed to attend court on July 26th for a scheduled court date for a prior offence. The youth has been charged with one count of breach of probation and one count of fail to attend for court.


Breach of Probation

A 38-year old male was arrested and charged yesterday morning with 2 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was with his girlfriend on July 26th while on probation terms not to be with her. The accused was also on conditions not to be near the females residence and was observed to be near it by the arresting officers. The accused will appear in court on August 29th. The name of the accused is not being released as the conditions stem from a domestic situation from an earlier date.
