Arrests/Charged Persons:
On July 17 2013, police attended at 817 Peoples Road regarding a male waving a machete and apparently intoxicated. Upon arrival the accused was sitting on a bench drinking a beer. The accused was found to be in an intoxicated state and was arrested for intoxicated in a public place. The accused was in fact in possession of a machete but it was in the sheath.

On July 17, 2013 at approximately 10:00am police responded to an assault complaint in the 300 block of Albert Street West. The victim complained of being pushed to the floor and after calling police the accused fled the residence. Further the victim complained of being assaulted on July 16, 2013 when the accused threw a bucket of cat litter striking the victim in the leg. The accused age 56 was arrested for assault and assault with a weapon and will appear in court on August 19, 2013 at 9:00am.

On July 17, 2013 City Police attended in the 100 block of Crawford Street regarding a young person somewhat out of control. The accused age 14, is on release condition not to molest, harass or annoy his mother. The accused was involved in a verbal argument with his mother and it is alleged that the accused kicked the computer and put a hole in the wall. The accused was arrested and will appear in court on August 20, 2013 at 9:30am.
Morning news:
On the 16th of July at approximately 8:15 pm City Police officers attended to the area of Cathcart and Allen streets after receiving calls of people fighting in the street. Upon their arrival, officers were able to determine a male victim had been stabbed in his neck and shoulder area as well as being hit with a crowbar. The male was treated on scene by ambulance attendants and did not require hospitalization. Charged with assault with a weapon are 19 year olds Michael William Rivers and Steven Herbert Stunnel, both of 519 Cathcart Street. They will be appearing in Bail Court later this morning.

On the 16th of July 2013 between 1 pm and 3 pm a home on Lansdowne Avenue was broken into. Items taken include an Ipad 2 with a black and pink cover, wrenches and a silver Bulova watch with a square face.
