DOMESTIC STUFF A 69 year old man will appear in bail court this morning after a domestic dispute in the city’s east end last night. Shortly after 9 pm last night the man is alleged to have struck his spouse in the upper arm.

A 69 year old man will appear in bail court this morning after a domestic dispute in the city’s east end last night. Shortly after 9 pm last night the man is alleged to have struck his spouse in the upper arm.

Further investigation by patrol officers resulted in the finding of some unregistered firearms. The male is charged with assault, unsafe storage of firearms, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of an unregistered firearm.

NO ENTRY GAINED
An attempt break and enter was reported yesterday morning to the Roadhouse Bar on Trunk Road. Employees called police to report that they had found damage to a window and door of their business, but no entry was gained.

ENTRY GAINED
Patrol officers attended at a residence on Kerr Drive at 3:50 pm to take a report of a break and enter to a residence there. The homeowner arrived home to find that the house had been entered and ransacked. Reporting missing from the house is stereo equipment, jewelry and prescription drugs.

Patrol officers also attended at a house on Penno Road yesterday where a break-in was reported to a residence on that street. The home was ransacked but it is not known at this time what is missing from the house.

SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGE
A 19 year-old Sault man will appear in court on March 1 after being arrested and charged yesterday afternoon. The man faces 3 counts of sexual assault and 1 count of sexual interference from incidents that occurred from July of 2003 to January 2004.

TANGLES WITH BUS…LOSES
A 40 year-old woman was charged yesterday afternoon with Red light-fail to stop after a collision at the intersection of Queen and Church Street. Mark Mallette age 42 was driving a bus north on Church St when the vehicle being driven by Sherri Thomas of 75 Copernicus St went through a red light and struck the bus. Both vehicles received moderate damage and Mr. Mallette was taken to hospital with minor injuries
