Male Arrested after going through several vehciles on Macdonald Avenue
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 48 year-old Alfred Grady of no fixed address at 4:36 am this morning on Lake Street and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of trespassing at night. It is alleged that on the 9th of February just after 4 am, officers received a call regarding a suspicious male in the area of Moluch Street and Macdonald Avenue.

Officers attended in the area and observed fresh footprints that lead up several Macdonald Avenue driveways to vehicles and rear yards. Officers followed the footprints and were able to locate the male hiding in a rear yard on Lake Street. At the time the accused was found in possession of stolen property from some of the vehciles. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Female Youth Arrested for Theft, Threatening and Assault at Local Elementary School
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 13 year-old female youth yesterday afternoon and charged her with two counts of assault, one count of threatened death or bodily harm, one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of stolen property and two counts of possession of a weapon for purpose dangerous to public. It is alleged that on the 7th of February, while at a local elementary school, the accused stole a pair of running shoes from a fellow student. On the 8th of February, when being questioned about the theft the next day at school, the accused assaulted a staff member and then confronted and threatened to stab the victim of the theft. When Police attended and arrested the accused she was found in possession of two knives. The shoes were later found at the residence of the accused. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Female Arrested for Assault at Local Bar
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 36 year-old Debbie McMillan of 21 Sunset Court on the 8th of February at 5:20 pm at the police station and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for and incident from the 23rd of January when she assaulted a female known to her while at a local downtown bar. She is to appear in court on the 14th of March.

Domestic Related Arrest
Officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 22 year-old female on the 8th of February at 3:15 pm at the police station and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 8th of February around 1:15 pm the accused got into a verbal argument with her common law spouse at their residence and assaulted him. She is to appear in court on the 16th of March.
