Male Turns Self In
A 24-year old male will be appearing in bail court this morning after turning himself into police last evening. The male was wanted for domestic related matters from last year. It is alleged that in the spring of 2004 the ex-girlfriend of the accused was getting out of her vehicle in the downtown area when he accused grabbed her from the vehicle and threatened to harm her and other family members. The accused fled the scene and was not located. In the fall of 2004 the accused attended at the same victim’s west end address and got into an argument with her. When she said she was going to call the police the accused grabbed her by the face. The accused left shortly after and police were called, but the male could not be located. The male has been charged with 2 counts of assault and 4 counts of breach of probation.
Male Charged with Assault
[Charge withdrawn] was arrested last evening after he assaulted a female who was known to him. It is alleged that the 2 persons were walking in the downtown area when they got into a verbal argument. The accused than grabbed the female by the hair and struck her in the face. The victim did not require medical treatment at the time of the incident. The accused was arrested a short time later and has been charged with one count of assault. He will appear in court on March 7th.
Female Charged with Theft
21-year old Holly Boissoneau of 4-314 Andrew Street was arrested last evening after it is alleged she stole a duvet cover from the Sears Store in the Station Mall. The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to City Police. The accused has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on March 7th.
Break and Enter
Shortly before midnight City Police attended at H.M. Robbins School on Balfour Street for a break and enter. The matter is still under investigation and it is unknown at this time what was taken, if anything.
