City police had a quiet Christmas Day with only one incident to report. Yesterday at 8:00 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was attacked with a knife on McNabb Street near Trunk Road. He received cuts to his face and arms.

Yesterday at 8:00 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was attacked with a knife on McNabb Street near Trunk Road. He received cuts to his face and arms. The victim was treated at Sault Area Hospitals and then released.

Charged with aggravated assault is Chadwick Matechuk, age 22, of Queen Street East. He is being held in custody pending a court appearance tomorrow. Police are not clear on the circumstances of the attack as yet. The investigation continues.
