Male charged with making harassing phone calls:

A 51-year-old male was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of making harassing phone calls. It is alleged that between Aug 1st and Aug 4th the accused called his female companion approx 80 times. The accused will be appearing in court on Sept 14th at 9:00 am.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enters:
A residence in the 300 block of Huron St was entered. Jewelry was taken.

Thefts:
A purse was stole from an office in the 400 block of McNabb St.
Keys and electronic equipment were stolen from a room at the Algonquin Hotel.
Items were stolen from vehicles parked in the 400 block of Queen St. E. and the 100 block of Terry Fox Pl.

Mischief:
Last night at approx. 10:15 pm city police received a call regarding a group of youths throwing beer bottles at an apartment building in the 100 block of Second Line W. One of the suspects was described as: Male, 17-18 years of age, wearing a white baggy shirt, white baseball cap, on sideways and blue jeans.
