On August 27, 2014, at 12:37 p.m., officers from the City Police Drug Unit arrested and charged 24-year-old Katrina Aubertin of Chapple Avenue with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

On August 27, 2014, at 12:37 p.m., officers from the City Police Drug Unit arrested and charged 24-year-old Katrina Aubertin of Chapple Avenue with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.  It is alleged that on August 26, 2014, the accused attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre with clothing for an inmate.  Inspection of the clothing by ATRC employees revealed a large number of individual rolling papers smeared with what is believed to be cannabis resin. The rolling papers had been concealed in the clothing. The accused will appear in court onSeptember 29, 2014.

On August 26, 2014 city police responded to a domestic complaint where it is alleged a female assaulted her boyfriend by punching him in the chest and taking his car. Police located the woman driving the car where she was promptly arrested. She will be appearing in bail court on August 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. charged with assault and take motor vehicle without consent.

On August 26, 2014 city police responded to a domestic assault where it is alleged a female struck a man on the head several times with a steel pipe. When police arrived, the man was bleeding badly and had to be taken to the hospital for medical attention. Police received information about the accused and quickly located and arrested the female. She will be appearing in bail court on August 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. It was also found that the woman was wanted on outstanding warrants for fail to appear in court, theft under $5,000. breach of probation x 3, breach of recognizance and fail to appear for fingerprints.

On August 27, 2014 at 7:40 a.m., a 46-year-old male turned himself in to city police.  He was wanted on a warrant for assault, threatening bodily harm, breach of probation X 4 and breach of recognizance X 2. The charges stem from a domestic incident on August 25, 2014. He will be appearing in bail court today at 10 a.m.
