The following news release was provided by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service:
On July 30, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 21-year-old Aaron Crockford of Echo Bay in relation to a theft.
It is alleged that on July 30, the accused attended a store in the 700 block of Pine Street where he selected merchandise totaling $155.07 and left the store without paying. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police.
The accused has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000. He will appear in court on Sept. 11, 2017.
On July 30, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 21 year old female in relation to a domestic violence investigation.
It is alleged that on July 29 the accused attended the residence of her ex-boyfriend and broke a window. Police were contacted and the accused left the area.
The accused was located on July 30 and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000. She will appear in court on April 13, 2017.
