TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT SENDS ONE TO HOSPITAL
Yesterday at 8:45 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Bay and Elgin Streets. An eastbound 1990 Chevrolet operated by 37-year-old Chantal Santerre of Wellington Street West collided with a vehicle operated by 21-year-old Emily Bruni of Placid Avenue. The Bruni vehicle was southbound on Elgin Street. Santerre was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of what are described as minor injuries. Bruni was issued a summons for a red light infraction.
BREAK & ENTER
Police are investigating a residential break and enter in the 200 block of East Balfour Street. The break-in occurred sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. yesterday. Entry was gained by forcing a door. A quantity of house wares, some cash, 2 rifles, a shotgun and a quantity of ammunition were taken. The investigation continues.
