The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is holding an information session for anyone interested in a career as a police officer.
The free recruitment session is open to 15 participants who must pre-register to secure a spot. Attendees must meet specific requirements, including being a permanent resident of Canada, 18 years or older, and able to pass a basic background check to qualify as a police officer or special constable with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
Sgt. Derek MacFarlane, who leads the uniform recruitment team, will deliver a short presentation and provide insights into the recruitment process. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Employment Solutions will be on hand to offer registered clients resume and application assistance, ensuring that participants are prepared to succeed.
