VIDEO: Suspect tries to buy coffee with fake US $100 bill

Sault Police were called to Wellington Street Circle K on Dec. 28

Sault Police hope to identify a suspect in a counterfeit money investigation.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 28, a man attempted to pay for two coffees using a fake US $100 bill at the Wellington Street Circle K location, says a news release from Crime Stoppers.

The store clerk seized the bill and called police after recognizing the currency as counterfeit.
