VIDEO: Counterfeit US bills circulating in the Sault

In the last 30 days, 15 incidents involving counterfeit US $50 bills have been reported to the police

Sault Ste. Marie Police and Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie are looking to identify a suspect in a fraud investigation.

In the last month, there have been 15 incidents of counterfeit US $50 bills have been passed at several locations throughout the city.

A suspect was caught on camera on April 28 at Canadian Tire on McNabb Street.

A male tried to purchase an item with three counterfeit US $50 bills, but the cashier became suspicious and contacted store security.
