Sault Police have one person in custody following an incident last evening on Shannon Road.
A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that at approximately 10 p.m., officer responded to reports of a barricaded person in the 500 block of Shannon Road.
"The initial investigation determined there were two people in the residence and Incident Command was needed for the call," the release says.
"Officers were able to make contact with the people in the residence. Through communicating with them, both people left the residence without incident around 2 a.m. on Aug. 27."
One individual was arrested at the scene, and another was transported to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
