Victim stabbed in downtown incident on Friday

On April 24, 2020 officers with Patrol Services arrested 39-year-old Adam Simpson for assault with a weapon.

On April 24, 2020, the accused was talking with the victim in the 400 block of Queen Street East when an argument ensued.

It’s alleged the accused pulled a knife on the 31-year-old male victim and stabbed him in the arm and chest and fled the area. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers arrived on scene at 1:31 p.m. and located the accused on March Street and he was arrested. A knife and sheath were located during a subsequent search of the accused and the area.

He is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation. He was held for bail court.
