Female Arrested for Making Death Threats:


A 14 year-old female was arrested on the 7th of September at 9:30 am at her residence and charged with one count of Threaten Death or Bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 6th of September threatened to kill a female that was known to her.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant:

20 year-old Brittany Newton of no fixed address was arrested on the 7th of September at 7:45 pm on Albion Street on outstanding warrants and charged with one count of Fail to Appear in Court and one count of Possession of Stolen Property.

Domestic Related Arrests:

On the 6th of September at 2:15 pm City Police attended at a downtown residence for a complaint of a Domestic Related Incident and discovered a female had been assaulted and threatened by her boyfriend while he was at her residence. The accused also allegedly threatened to burn her property. Officers investigating the incident discovered that the accused had assaulted the same victim in June as well causing non-life threatening injuries to her that required medical attention.

As a result, the 21 year-old male was charged with two counts of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm, one count of Threaten Damage to Property, one count of Mischief and one count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm. The accused was also wanted on outstanding warrants in relation to failing to appear court for drug possession charges.

Theft, Possession, Impaired Driving and more

A 27 year-old male was arrested on the 5th of September at 2:32 am on the 5th of September on Northern Avenue and charged with one count of Theft over $5,000.00. one count of Possession of Stolen Property, one count of Impaired Driving, one count of Consume Over the Legal Limit, one count of Possession of a Controlled Drug or Substance and four counts of Breach of Probation. It is alleged that the accused stole a Honda from a business on Great Northern Road minivan around 2:06 am on the 5th of September and drove to his ex-girlfriend’s residence and got into a dispute with her. At the time of the incident, the accused was intoxicated and on probation conditions that he not attended at her residence, communicate, molest, harass or physically interfere with her. The accused left prior to police arrival but was quickly located driving the van on Northern Avenue. At the time of his arrest he was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Two Males Arrested After Damaging Mailbox on Fourth Line West:

On the 6th of September at approximately 2:18 am City Police received a call regarding two males that were damaging a mailbox on Fourth Line West. Officers attended in the area and quickly located the males and arrested them. As a result, 18 year-old Ethan Bishop of 1310 Peoples Road and a 16 year-old male youth were charged with one count of Mischief. The accused Ethan Bishop appears in court on the 5th of October and the youth will appear on the 13th of October.

Male Charged after Causing a Disturbance at the Soup Kitchen:

42 year-old Robert Nadeau of 17 Wallace Terrace #1-upstairs) was arrested on the 4th of September at 11:25 am and charged with one count of Unlawfully in a Dwelling House, one count of Fail to Leave Premises when Directed and one count of Enter Premises when Entry Prohibited Directed. It is alleged that on the 4th of September at 11:15 am the accused attended at the Soup Kitchen and was asked to leave after causing a disturbance. The accused refused to leave and police were called to remove him. They attended removed him and warned him not to return back in the area. A short while later, officers received a call from a homeowner in the same area after they that found the accused inside their home. The accused attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers. He is to appear in court on the 19th of October.

Robbery Reported:

A female called police at 1:40 am on the 6th of September and reported that she was robbed around 10:22 pm earlier that evening when she was walking down an alley off of St. Georges Avenue East. A male approached her and advised her he needed some money. When the victim advised she did not have any, the male pulled out a knife and demanded she give him her money. The male suspect fled on foot towards John Street with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
The suspect was described as being in his early 20’s, 5’4”, thin build, with an unknown type of tattoo on his right forearm, wearing a black hat with a smiley face on it.
The investigation is continuing.

Break and Enter Reports:

Homes were entered on Cambridge Place, Broadview Drive, Alpine Street, Willow Avenue, North Street, Wellington Street West, Trelawne Avenue, Victoria Avenue, and Albert Street East. Numerous items were reported stolen, including electronic equipment, a gun inside a locked cabinet and computers. A Pickup truck was also stolen from one the homes when the suspect/s found the keys for it inside the residence.

Mischief Reports:

• Several mailboxes were reported damaged in the Old Goulais Bay Road, Fourth Line East and Fourth Line West area.
• A brick was thrown through one of the windows of the Parkland Baptist Church
• Vehicles were reported damaged on Royal York Boulevard Ontario Avenue, Parkewood Drive, Panoramic, Wemyss Street, Amber Street, Macdonald Avenue, Peoples Road, Carlbert Street Crestwood Avenue, Millwood Street and Bristol Place. Many of the vehicles had windows smashed out.

Thefts:

• Vehicles were entered on Carlbert Street, Dacey Road, Copernicus Drive, Lorraine Avenue, Caesar Road, Harwood Street, Bennett Boulevard, Princeton Drive, Old Goulais Bay Road, Murphy Street and Frontenc Street. Many of the windows were smashed out during the thefts.
• Load levelers were stolen from the back of a transport in Industrial Court.
• A garden Gargoyle was stolen from a front yard on Atwater Street.
• An 18.5 Husky lawn tractor was stolen from Korah Road.
• Gas gallon cans were stolen from Alpine Street.
• A Slingshot all-terrain bike was stolen from Hiawatha on Landslide Road.
