BROUGHT POT TO SCHOOL Yesterday at 11:52 am Patrol Officers were called to a local elementary school where a youth was found to be in possession of narcotics. The youth, a 13-year-old male, brought a substance believed to be marijuana to the school.

Yesterday at 11:52 am Patrol Officers were called to a local elementary school where a youth was found to be in possession of narcotics. The youth, a 13-year-old male, brought a substance believed to be marijuana to the school. School staff found the drug and contacted police. The youth has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug Substance. He is scheduled to appear in court in early December.


MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING A 2-YEAR-OLD
Last Friday, a 39-year-old male from Sault Ste. Marie became upset with his 2-year-old stepson because he wouldn't stop crying. The adult male then allegedly slapped the victim across the face.

The slap left bruising, redness and finger marks on the child that were still present three days later. Detectives from the Investigation Services Section located and arrested the male yesterday at 5:25 pm. He has been charged with Assault and is scheduled to appear in court in early December.
