City Police officers attended to a west end residence this afternoon in response to a threatening complaint. It is alleged 21-year-old Ryan Young of 439 Douglas St. thretaened bodily harm to a female person known to him as well as threatening to snmash out all of her windows in her house. This incident was not domestic related. Mr. Young will be appearing in Provincial Court on November 17.

James Syrette, age 42, of Old Garden River Road is in custody and will be in bail court this morning. It is alleged that on October 11, 2014 at approximately 2:52 p.m., Syrette committed the offence of theft under $5000 and assault by assisting a second suspect (not yet apprehended) in stealing a red Canada Goose Victorian model jacket (value $670) from HR Lash on John Street. Further [it is alleged] the accused punched and struck a store employee in the shoulder and knocked them to the ground when he was being detained. A second male is being sought in the theft and the coat has not been recovered.
On October 13, 2014 at approximately 8:45 p.m., Syrette was arrested on Lyons Avenue the area of Wellington Street east without incident. Upon arrest, the accused [allegedly] had marijuana and eight blue pills, identified as morphine tablets, located on his person. He was also on a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, which he [is alleged to have] breached on October 11 and 13. The accused was charged accordingly on all counts.
