Evening update A vehicle window was broken in at a residence on Central Park Avenue. * * * A male was captured on the school’s surveillance cameras entering or attempting to enter vehicles at FH Clergue School. Investigation is continuing.

A vehicle window was broken in at a residence on Central Park Avenue.

A male was captured on the school’s surveillance cameras entering or attempting to enter vehicles at FH Clergue School.  Investigation is continuing.

31 year old Christine Armstrong of 710 Second Line West was arrested for shoplifting at Sears released with a court date of 26 November 2012.

* * *

21 year old Rebecca Fleming of Clearview Drive was charged with one count of assault involving a female known to her.  She will appear in bail court tomorrow.

Attempted Kidnapping Update

As a result of a lengthy investigation, 24 year old Jean-Paul Price of 877 Goulais Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie has been arrested and charged with one count of attempt kidnapping.  He will appear in bail court tomorrow.

Previously released on 22 Oct 2012:

Officers with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service are currently investigating an attempt Abduction that occurred on the 17th September 2012. 

A lone female was walking in the area of Second line West and Goulais Avenue when she was approached by an unknown male.  The male was driving a vehicle described as a black two door car possibly a Pontiac Sunfire or new style Honda Civic.  The vehicle had dark tinted windows and a distinctive C & A Pro logo on the rear window.

The driver asked the female if she wanted a ride.  The female said no and at that point it is alleged that the male exited his vehicle, grabbed her by the arm, and pulled her towards the vehicle.  The victim was able to break free and the suspect fled the scene in his vehicle. 

 

Break and Enter: 

A break and enter was reported to a business on Nixon Rd tools were reported stolen.

A break and enter was also reported to a residence on Beverley St. where electronics were reported stolen.

Arrest:

A 46 year old male was arrested in regards to a domestic violence incident. The male broke down the door of a bedroom then proceeded to assault and threaten the victim. The accused was also on a recognizance from previous charges not related to the victim. He is charged with mischief under $5000, assault, threaten death and two counts of a breach of his recognizance and will appear in Bail Court this morning.
