On November 23 a homeowner on Elmwood Avenue awoke to find that someone had entered a vehicle parked in the driveway. The vehicle had been gone through and the garage door opener from that vehicle was used to open the garage of the residence. A second vehicle in the garage was also gone through as well. Nothing appears to be missing.
On November 23 around 4 p.m. a residence in the 500 block of MacDonald Avenue was broken into. A door to the residence was forced open and stole a quantity of change as well as prescription medication was taken.
At 3 p.m. on November 23, 2015 city police arrested 52-year-old Kristina Huculak of Wellington Street. It’s alleged that she assaulted a person known to her causing minor injuries. She was charged with assault and will be appearing in court on January 4, 2016.
At 2:27 a.m. city police were called to Mac’s at McNabb and Pine for a robbery. A lone male entered the store carrying what appeared to be a hand gun and demanded money and cigarettes. The male is described as a white male wearing a black sweater over a grey long sleeve shirt, black gloves, a balaclava and wearing sunglasses. He left with an undisclosed amount of money and export A cigarettes. The investigation is continuing.
At 2:43 a.m. city police arrested 34-year-old Craig William Smith of no fixed address on outstanding warrants. The accused was charged with failing to appear court and theft under $5,000. The accused was also wanted by the O.P.P. for disqualified driving and failing to appear court. He will be appearing bail court on November 24, 2015.
