ARRESTED FOR SHOPLIFTING Yesterday the accused, George Murray, age 44 of 793 Queen Street East was in the Zellers Store at 293 Bay Street and allegedly left without paying for several watches.
ARRESTED FOR SHOPLIFTING
Yesterday the accused, George Murray, age 44 of 793 Queen Street East was in the Zellers Store at 293 Bay Street and allegedly left without paying for several watches.

Murray was stopped by security outside the store and arrested for theft and escorted back to the security office. While in the office the accused punched one of the security guards and had to be physically restrained by staff.

The accused then threatened the victim. At 6:21 pm patrol officers arrested and charged the accused with Assault, Threatening and Theft. He will appear in court on December 22nd.


DOMESTIC DISPUTE
Yesterday at 7:30 pm, a 58-year-old male got into a domestic dispute with his girlfriend at an east end address. The dispute escalated to physical violence when the accused male grabbed a hold of the adult victim’s arm and threw her out of the residence.

The victim received minor injures in the incident. At 9:10 pm the accused was arrested and charged by police officers with Assault. The accused will appear in bail court today.


WINDOW KICKED IN AT MADISON’S PUB
Yesterday at approximately 11:40 pm patrol officers were called to Madison’s Pub at 704 Pine Street in regards to a mischief complaint. Officers learned that a female patron had been previously removed from the bar.

Once outside the accused, Mona Migwans, age 31 of 91 Smale Avenue, became agitated and kicked a 6' x 4' window pane several times causing it to break.

At 12:04 am this morning patrol officers arrested and charged the accused with Mischief under $5,000.00. She will appear in court on December 22nd.


BREAK & ENTER
Yesterday the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service was called to investigate one break and enter. Shortly after 6:00 am officers were called to the Video Max store on Second Line West.

Officers learned that on the 17th of November sometime in the early morning hours, a break-in occurred. Once inside thieves stole several packages of cigarettes, as well as several DVD's. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 949-6300 or Crime Stoppers.
