On November 9, 2015 at 3:40 p.m., police arrested a 43-year-old male at a hilltop store. It is alleged that the accused entered the store and concealed $138 worth of meat.

On November 9, 2015 at 3:40 p.m., police arrested a 43-year-old male at a hilltop store. It is alleged that the accused entered the store and concealed $138 worth of meat. The accused left the store without making any attempt to pay for the concealed items. When security officers attempted to arrest the accused the accused struggled with them and resisted the arrest. The accused was controlled and held for police. The accused has been charged with theft under $5,000, resisting arrest and breaching his probation order for failing to keep the peace and be of good behavior. The accused will appear in bail court on November 10.

On November 10, 2015 at 1:35 a.m., police located and arrested a 24-year-old male in relation to domestic incidents. It is alleged that on three occasions the accused assaulted his girlfriend by grabbing her, punching her, and holding her on the ground. When arrested the accused was found to be in possession of two knifes. A large butcher knife that was concealed under his clothing and a prohibited jack knife that opened with centrifugal force (flick knife). The accused has been charged with three counts of domestic assault, possession of a prohibited weapon and carry a concealed weapon. The accused will appear in bail court on November 10.

On November 9, 2015 at 11:30 p.m., city police received a 911 call of a robbery at the Macs Convenience Store at 1230 Wellington Street East. The lone male clerk was working in the store when a male entered the store wearing a Chicago Bulls hat and a black hoody with two white zippers, the main zipper and another white zipper on the chest pocket. The victim was threatened with a knife and the suspect demanded cash. The clerk complied with demands and surrendered an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the store on foot and headed northbound. The suspect is described as being a native male, 5’6”, clean shaven with tattoos on both sides of his neck. The Sault Ste. Marie K-9 unit was called in to assist with this robbery. The investigation is continuing.

A yellow bike with black trim was stolen from beside a residence on Albert Street West.

A local car dealership reports that sometime on November 9 overnight unknown culprits stole 4 catalytic convertors off 4 new vehicles.

Sometime on November 9 overnight culprits enter a shed on Summit Avenue and stole a can of gas.

On November 9 unknown culprits entered a vehicle on Campbell Avenue. Nothing was taken from the vehicle however the culprits also attempted to break into the residence as well but was scared off by the occupants who were in the home.
