Afternoon release:
42 year old male was charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation in regards to a domestic incident. It is alleged the accused assaulted a female by choking her while he pinned her to the ground. He was also on probation with a condition of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was scheduled to appear in bail court.

42 year old Heiko Schmitz of 30 Ferguson Ave attended at Wal-Mart in the Station Mall where he selected various meat products and left without paying. Store security approached the accused and he fled, he was eventually caught in the area of Albert and Bruce. He was previously released on an undertaking with the condition not to attend at the Station Mall as well as a probation order of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He stands currently charged with theft under $5000, breach of an undertaking and breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in Bail Court on May 8.

On May 7 2013 the High School Liaison Officers observed a group of students near a local high school that appeared to be using illegal drugs. Investigation resulted in the charge of possession of marihuana against a 15 year old male. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 11.
Morning release:
41 year old Dale Swanson of 680 Portage Lane was arrested by members of the City Police Street Team on May 6th in the St.Marys River Drive area. Mr. Swanson was found to have been drinking and he was on conditions not to consume alcohol. Further investigation revealed that he was on conditions not to be out of his residence without a surety present. A search of Mr. Swanson resulted in officers locating marihuana and a codeine pill which he was also on conditions not to possess. It was later learned that Mr. Swanson was also on Probation. As a result he was charged with breaching 2 conditions of a Recognizance, 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance and 1 count of Breach of Probation for not being of good behaviour. He will be appearing in Bail Court on May 7th.

Officers from the Street Team attended to a residence on Brunswick Ave. on May 6th and arrested 26 year old Ryan Wills of 296 Sussex Ave. for robbery. It is alleged Mr. Wills attended to a downtown address on April 22nd and threatened the homeowner with a knife demanding pills. The accused made off with an amount of morphine pills. The victim was not hurt. Mr. Wills will be attending Bail Court as well.
