THEY'LL GET YOU SOONER OR LATER

50 year-old William Lawrence Hess of 751 Pine Street was arrested by patrol officers when they executed an outstanding warrant for Mr. Hess’ arrest. Mr. Hess is alleged to have failed to appear in court on January 12th of this year on the original charges of impaired driving and over 80mg, carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a prohibited weapon and having possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle. The original charges are alleged to have been committed on December 1st of 2003. Mr. Hess will appear in bail court this morning.

ECHO BAY DRIVER DOESN'T SEE RED

A 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of Queen and Brock Street yesterday morning at 10:51 am sent one driver to hospital with minor injuries and resulted in one driver being charged. 51 year-old Beverly Snider of Echo Bay was charged with red light-fail to stop after she allegedly traveled north on Brock Street through a red light striking a west bound vehicle on Queen Street being driven by 44 year-old Ian Burns of Dafter Michigan. Mr. Burns was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of his injuries. Both vehicles received severe damage.

JUST A LITTLE TOO CLOSE

A 2-vehicle collision on Black Road at 2:14 yesterday afternoon resulted in one driver being charged. 18 year-old Daniel Harvey of Dell Avenue was traveling south bound on Black Road and struck the back end of a vehicle that was stopped waiting to make a left turn.

Rhonda Maitland, 43 years old of Elliott Road was driving the second vehicle. Mr. Harvey was charged with following too closely. The Harvey vehicle received moderate damage while the Maitland vehicle received a light amount of damage. No injuries were reported.
