Domestic Related Arrest for Bail Court Appearance This Morning

A 23 year-old male was arrested on the 22nd of March at 9:47 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his common law partner at their residence on the 22nd of March at around 9:30 pm.

Two Persons Arrested for Entering Vehicles in East End

City police received a call regarding two suspicious persons going through properties and vehicles in the Hugill Street area just before 4 am on the 22nd of March. When police arrived they located the two suspects in the area and at the time they were found in possession of stolen items from vehicles in the Hugill Street area. As a result 18 year-old Gregory Pearce of 160 Kehoe Avenue and 18 year-old Victoria Childs of #204-277 Northern Avenue were both charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of trespassing at night. They are to attend in court on the 26th of April.

Female Youth Arrested for Assault at Local High School

A 15 year-old female youth was arrested at a local high school yesterday afternoon and charged with two counts of assault after she allegedly assaulted two female students at the high school around 11:20 am. Both victims received non-life threatening injuries. The accused is to appear in court on the 27th of April.

Two Female Shoplifters Arrested

25 year-old Rhea Desmond of 350 Manilla Terrace and 36 year-old Louise Desmoulin of #1-167 Albert Street East were both arrested last eyeing at Sears on Bay Street after allegedly shoplifting at the store. Rhea Desmond attended just before 7 pm and stole some clothing. She was charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. Louise Desmoulin attended at the store around 8:25 pm and stole a watch. She was charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and two counts of breach of probation. At the time of the offence she was on conditions not to attend at the store and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Both accused females are to attend in court on the 3rd of May.

Attempt Robbery at Gore Street Mac’s Convenience Store

Around 3:09 am this morning a lone male entered the Mac’s Convenience Store on Gore Street with a broken glass bottle and demanded cash from the clerk. Another customer in the store scarred the suspect off before he was able to obtain any cash. The male was described as being white, around 16 years old, 5 feet tall, 120 lbs, thin build, short black hair and was wearing a black hoodie. Officers attended in the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Break and Enter and Theft Reports

• The Roadhouse Bar and Grill was entered at around 5:08 am this morning. The alarm was activated and when police attended the suspect/s were gone on arrival. It is not known at this time if anything was taken.
• The property at Pioneer Construction Ltd. Was entered sometime from the 18th – 22nd of March. Copper wire was reported stolen.
• Vehicles were damaged and some entered in the in the areas of Brooklfield Avenue, Carufel Avenue and Shannon Road. A wallet was reported stolen.
