On the afternoon of March 17, 2015 patrol officers located and arrested 23-year-old Candice Champagne of Park Street. It is alleged that on March 15, 2015 Champaigne stole over $200 worth of food items from a local grocery store in the city’s west end. She will be appearing in court April 20, 2015.
As a result of an investigation conducted by detectives, 20-year-old Levi SHAWANA of Wellington St. E. was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault. It is alleged that on the 15th of March the accused became involved in a physical altercation with another male which resulted in injuries to the victim including broken facial bones. The accused and the victim are known to each other. He will be appearing in court April 20, 2015.
A 45-year-old female was arrested early this morning for a domestic related assault. It is alleged she attended to a downtown residence of a male known to her and repeatedly punched him in the head area and pulled hair out of his head as well. She was charged with one count of assault and will be appearing in Bail Court later this morning.
