Motor Vechicle Collisions
Yesterday morning, at approx. 10:25 AM, three motor vehicles collided on Great Northern Rd. in front of Highland Ford. Upon arrival of the City Police the officer received conflicting descriptions as to what took place. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service Traffic Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in clearing this incident. Anyone that may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Traffic Office.
Three Reports of Mischief
The Sault Ste Marie City Police received three reports of mischief yesterday. The incidents involve paintballs and eggs. A residence in the 100 block of Pardee Ave. was struck with paint balls. A residence in the 100 block of Second Line W. was egged and struck with paint balls and a home in the 100 block of Bellevue Ave. was egged.
Charges of Possession
At approx. 12:00 noon yesterday the Sault Ste Marie Police Service and the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a Drug Search Warrant at 21 Edinburgh St. The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of two large bags containing marihuana, weigh scales, debt lists, and $ 3,035.00 in cash. As a result two persons were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. Charged are:
1.Michael John Mathieu, of 21 Edinburgh St.
2.Amanda-Marie Cathleen Nelson, of 21 Edinburgh St.
They will both be appearing in court on Monday April 18th at 9:00 AM.
Forgery Charges Laid
Yesterday afternoon at approx. 2:30 PM City Police attended at 544 Albert St.W Apt. # 9 and arrested Patrick Talbot. It is alleged that Mr. Talbot forged three cheques, of various amounts, during January and February. Patrick Talbot of 544 Albert St. W. Apt # 9 is charged with three counts of Forgery and one count of Fraud. He will be appearing in court on Monday April 18th at 9:00 AM.
