ARRESTED FOR USING STOLEN BANK CARD
On Saturday at 2:21 pm, the accused Laura Aelick, age 43 of 157 Tancred Street allegedly stole a bank card belonging to a 21-year-old male and while at the hospital took out $100.00 from an ATM machine.
Detectives from the Fraud Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service were notified and an investigation was commenced. Yesterday at 3:00 pm detectives arrested and charged Aelick with Theft of a Credit Card and Theft under $5,000.00. She will appear in court April 14th.
YOUTH BREAKS PROBATION
On Sunday, the accused, a 15-year-old male from Goulais Avenue was on an outstanding probation order dated February 26, 2003, with the condition to be in his residence at 10:30 pm.
The accused failed to come home all night. The youth's guardian notified police in morning. Police officers arrested and charged the youth yesterday at 7:00 pm for Failing to Comply with a Disposition. He will appear in court in mid April.
SHOPLIFTER ARRESTED
Yesterday, the accused, a 15-year-old female from Langdon Rd. was observed in Ardene's at the Station Mall taking a wristwatch and leaving the store without paying for the item.
A store employee followed her to another store, where she was confronted and detained until police arrived. Patrol officers arrived and charged the youth with Theft under $5,000.00 and Possession of Stolen Property. She will appear in court in early April.
YOUTH BREAKS SNOW SHOVEL
On March 7, at 2:00 pm at a home on Woodhurst Drive, the accused, a 12-year-old male destroyed a snow shovel valued at $35 by smashing it against the home until it broke.
The shovel was the property of the homeowner. Yesterday at 9:25 pm, police went to the youth's residence on St. Andrews Terrace and charged him with Mischief under $5,000.00. He will appear in court in early April.
BREAK & ENTER
This morning at 12:15 am, patrol officers responded to a break and enter at Insta-Loan at 59 Great Northern Rd. Officers noted the rear door had been forced open and thieves had removed two cash boxes from the business. Anyone with information on this occurrence is asked to contact the Sault Ste. SPRAY PAINTING SCHOOL & CARS
This morning at 1:56, patrol officers arrested a 19-year-old male, Josha Hyrsky of 126 Hardwood Drive who was spray painting the rear of Manitou Park Public School on Manitou Drive. Witnesses observed him spray painting the school.
When Officers arrived they observed Hyrsky drop the spray can. The accused was arrested and has been charged with Mischief under $5,000.00. He will appear in court on April 28th.
