19-year-old Wesley Jones-Chapman of Old Garden River Road was charged with impaired driving, having over the legal limit and possession of a narcotic early this morning. Traffic and Patrol officers located the accused in his vehicle in a ditch on Third Line East. Upon further investigation it was determined that the accused was impaired. He also allegedly had a small quantity of narcotics on his person. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on April 13.
City police officers attended to a residence in the 200 block of Wellington Street East early this morning regarding an assault complaint. Further investigation revealed that a male had been stabbed by another male and the victim was transported to the Sault Area Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A male has been arrested and is in police custody, however, the investigation is continuing at this time.
City police officers attended to a residence in the 400 block of Wellington Street East early this morning regarding a domestic complaint. It was determined that a 38-year-old male had assaulted and threatened to kill a female victim known to him. As a result, he was arrested for assault and threatening and will be appearing in Bail Court this morning.
37-year-old Roger Milia of Airport Road was checked by patrol officers early this morning while he walking on a downtown street. A check was done and it was learned he was on conditions not to consume alcohol which he allegedly was. A subsequent search also allegedly produced a small amount of narcotics on his person. Mr. Milia will be appearing in Bail Court later this morning as well.
