Road Closure Due to Broken High Pressure Natural Gas Line: City police would like to advise the public that Fourth Line East from Old Goulais Bay Road to Great Northern Road is closed to vehicular traffic due to a broken natural gas line.
Road Closure Due to Broken High Pressure Natural Gas Line:

City police would like to advise the public that Fourth Line East from Old Goulais Bay Road to Great Northern Road is closed to vehicular traffic due to a broken natural gas line. City police are on scene and directing and re-routing traffic at the scene. Officers advise motorists to use Second Line East and Fifth Line as alternate routes. Union gas is on scene conducting repairs and advise that the road may be closed until at least 10 pm tonight.

Male Arrested and Charged for Breaking into Bruce Street Beer Store:

37 year-old Christopher Halls of #302-631 Macdonald Avenue was arrested at 7:26 am on the 8th of June on Macdonald Avenue and charged with one count of break, enter and commit. It is alleged that on the 8th of June at approximately 4:34 am the accused broke into The Beer Store on Bruce Street and stole two 24 can cases of Old Milwaukee beer valued at approximately $63.00 and a Leukemia donation can with approximately $10 of change in it. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Arrested for Domestic Breaches and Possession of Drugs:

A 37 year-old male was arrested on the 9th of June at 12:38 am at a west end residence and charged with three counts of breach of probation and two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance. City police received a noise complaint call at approximately 12:17 am this morning to a west end residence and when they attended they located the accused at the residence of his girlfriend. The accused was on probation conditions at the time from previous domestic charges that he not communicate with her, to stay away from her residence and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused was arrested and was found in possession of a small amount of hash oil and approximately 11.6 grams of marijuana. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Arrested for Fraud:

25 year-old Daniel Vallee-Koningen of 120 Broadway Ave in Wawa Ontario was arrested on the 8th of June at the city police station and charged with one count of fraud and one count of uttering a forged document. It is alleged that on the 17th of Jan 2009 the accused deposited a counterfeit money order into an account of a person known to him. He is to appear in court on the 6th of July.

Three Persons Arrested on Outstanding Warrants for Breaching Release Documents:

1) 42 year-old Timothy Laplante of 1160 Allen Side Road was arrested at the court house on the 8th of June at 10:05 am and charged with one count of fail to appear for prints from the 25th of May. He is to appear in court on the 27th of June.

2) 37 year-old Roy Hamilton of #112-Terry Fox Place was arrested at the station on the 8th of June at 3:15 pm and charged with one count of fail to appear for prints from the 22nd of May. He is to appear in court on the 29th of June.

3) 33 year-old Rae-Ann Perrault of 340 (B) Highway 17 East, Garden River was arrested on the 8th of June at 3:21 pm at the city police station and charged with one count of fail to appear for prints from the 4th of June. She is to appear in court on the 20th of July.

Property Crimes:

Thefts:


• A black Banchi Mountain Bike was stolen from Woodward Avenue.
• A red and black Rally Matterhorn Mountain Bike was stolen from Allard Street.
• A vehciles on Cooper Street was entered and two Lap tops and a wallet were stolen.
• Railway anchors were reported stolen from Huron Central Railway on Oakland Avenue.

Mischief Reports:

• A rock was thrown through a window at Sir James Dunn High School.
• Broken Beer Bottles and trees were damaged in the school yard at St. Mary’s French Immersion Elementary School on Gibb Street.

Break and Enter Report:

A residence on Church Street was entered sometime during the past 10 days. Various tools were stolen including a Dewalt Drill and battery, a crow bar and a Black and Decker corded drill.
