ARRESTED FOR THEFT At 3:11a.m., City Police were dispatched to an address in the 100 block of Churchill Avenue and advised, by the complainant that a male had just broken into a rear shed and stolen their dog.

At 3:11a.m., City Police were dispatched to an address in the 100 block of Churchill Avenue and advised, by the complainant that a male had just broken into a rear shed and stolen their dog.

A search of the area resulted in the police locating the accused and the dog coming out of a bush area on Hampton Road. Charged with Theft Under $ 5,000, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Break and Enter Instruments and Breach of Probation by violating the condition that he not consume alcohol is Steven Vincent D’Orazio, age 21, of 46 Chippewa Street.


RESISTING ARREST
At approx. 10:10 last night, City Police were dispatched to an address in the 100 block of Amherst Street in regards to a dispute. Upon arriving, the officers observed a vehicle driving away from the location in an erratic manner. The officers stopped the vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver for impaired driving.

During the course of the arrest the accused struggled with the officers and resisted arrest. It is also alleged that the accused assaulted a male person prior to police arrival. Charged with assault, resisting arrest, impaired driving and driving over 80 mgs is Michael Andre Collins, age 35, of 40 Amherst Street.


BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Last night City Police officers arrested Brian Joseph Macleod, age 21, of 744 Second Line West for breaching his undertaking. Officers went to his home address earlier in the evening to verify that he was abiding by his release conditions - to be in his residence by a certain hour. When he was not they began a search for him. He was also charged with two counts of breach of probation.


THE BEAR REPORT
City Police received 10 complaints of bears last night. Most appear to be the same bear in the Old Garden River Road and Case Road areas.


BREAK & ENTERS
There were two Break and Enters reported yesterday. In both incidents the culprits gained entry via a rear window. The entries were to a home in the 100 block of Biggings Avenue and at a residence in the 400 block of Albert Street West.


STOLEN BIKES
Now that summer, and hopefully nicer weather, has arrived citizens are advised to lock their bicycles. There were five reports of stolen bicycles yesterday.


TRANSIT DAMAGE
The City Transit and City Police are asking for assistance from the public in locating those responsible for damaging two bus shelters. Two bus shelters, located on East St. and at 240 McNabb St., were damaged yesterday. Anyone having knowledge about these incidents are asked to call the City Police.
