On June 15, 2015 at 2:15pm Sault Ste Marie Police officers observed 31 year old Robert Day of Edmonton, Alberta in the city’s downtown area.

On June 15, 2015 at 2:15pm Sault Ste Marie Police officers observed 31 year old Robert Day of Edmonton, Alberta in the city’s downtown area. Officers were aware that the accused was wanted for breaching his probation order by failing to report to probation and parole. Upon arrested Robert Day was found to be in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine, ritalin, and ciboxan. The accused was bound at the time by a probation order to keep the peace and be good as well as a recognizance to stay within the province of Alberta and to abstain from the possession and consumption of non-prescription drugs. The accused has been charged with two counts of breaching his probation order, two counts of breaching his recognizance and three counts of possession of a controlled drug.

Day appeared in bail court on June 16.

On June 16, 2015 at 8:30am Sault Ste Marie Police officers responded to a complaint of a male banging on doors at a local hotel. Upon arrival officers located 19 year old Kristopher Zuccato of no fixed address. When officers attempted to arrest the accused he resisted and struggled with them. The accused has been charged with mischief and resisting arrest.

Zuccato appeared in bail court on June 16.

On June 15 city police attended at Lento Storage on Great Northern Road for break and enters to trailers. It is believed that overnight persons entered the compound and broke into a motorhome. It is unknown if anything was taken from the motorhome at this time. In addition it appears that the would-be thieves attempted to enter an RV with negative results.

On June 15 city police attended in the 100 block of Albert Street East for a break and enter. It is believed that entry was gained to the home between June 10 and June 13; however it is unknown if anything was taken at this time.

Yesterday morning city police received a report of three Canada Post vans being spray-painted over the weekend.

On June 15, 2015, at approximately 7 p.m., city police attended a residence in the east end for a domestic disturbance. The investigation revealed the female resident attempted to run over her boyfriend with a motor vehicle. She was arrested and charged with dangerous driving and will be appearing in bail court.
