DRUG BUST
Yesterday afternoon at 1:10, officers from the joint forces drug unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Wellington Street east. Approximately 60 grams of cannabis resin as well as a small amount of marijuana were seized. Charge with possession for the purpose of trafficking is 33-year-old Russell Reid of Wellington Street East. Reid will appear in court on July 15. the estimated street value of the drugs is $1,500.

ACCIDENT SENDS 2 TO HOSPITAL
An accident on Saturday afternoon sent two people to hospital. A 1987 Toyota, operated by Tammy Tyreman, was proceeding northbound on People's Road in the curb lane at which time a left turn was attempted.

The Toyota was struck by a 1990 Pontiac, driven by 24-year-old Shawn Manchester of Hood Road, that was northbound but in the centre lane. Manchester received minimal injuries but his vehicle was severely damaged.
