Youth Charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance
A 17-year-old youth was arrested at the police station on a warrant for Failing to Attend Court and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The youth will be appearing in court on Tues. Aug. 9th at 9:30 AM.
Failure to Appear for Fingerprints
Ronald Lecuyes, age 44, of 23 Centre Lane – Landslide Trailer Park, was arrested on a warrant for Failing to Appear for Fingerprints. Mr. Lecuyes was arrested at the Court and will be appearing in Bail court today at 10:00 AM.
Youth Charged with Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling
At approx. 12:15 AM this morning City Police attended at a vacant residence in the 500 block of Parliament St. in regards to a break and enter. Upon arrival officers located and arrested a 16-year-old youth inside the premises. The accused was charged with Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling. On route to the police station the youth became agitated and commenced to foul the back of the police cruiser – by spitting on the divider and windows. As a result the accused was further charged with the offence of Mischief. The accused will be attending Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.
Break and Enters
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service received two complaints of Break and Enters yesterday. The first entry was to a garage in the 100 block of Bloor St. W. Thieves stole a bicycle from this location. The second was to an apartment in the 100 block of Chapple Ave. where jewellery was taken.
Vehicles Entered and Items Taken
The City Police are also investigating three reports of vehicle being entered. Cars parked on Palomino Dr. and Cooper St. were entered and had their stereos stolen. The third incident took place on Beverly St. where a purse was taken.
