ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION (This story added at noon today)
Yesterday at about 12:15 p.m., a 23-year-old female was waiting for a city transit bus at the corner of MacDonald Avenue and Pim Street. A truck pulled up, the passenger window was lowered part way, and the driver called to her.

She approached the truck believing she knew him. She opened the passenger door to speak to the lone male occupant who said, "Get in, I'll give you a ride." Realising that she did not know him, she kindly refused and started to step away from the truck. The driver then attempted to grab her by reaching across the passenger seat. She slammed the door and the truck sped away.

The vehicle in question is described as being a customized newer truck, gold and silver in colour. It could possibly have Florida plates. The driver is described as a dark-skinned male (possibly East Indian), short in height, black short hair, in his late 30's, weight between 140 and 150 pounds. He may also speak with an accent.
