CREDIT CARD FRAUD
Yesterday morning, officers from the Sault Police Service Investigative Fraud Section arrested and charged Richard Nanchin, age 24, of 216 Turner Avenue with seven counts each of uttering forged documents, envelope fraud, and credit card theft.

It is alleged that between May and July of this year, Nanchin deposited Visa and MasterCard cheques totalling in excess of $8,000 into bank accounts. The cheques were fraudulently drawn on stolen Visa and MasterCard account numbers. Investigators determined that the accused utilized the internet to obtain personal information about the victims and was able to retrieve their credit card numbers. Nanchin is scheduled to appear in court on August 26.

TWO ARRESTED FOR BREAK AND ENTER
