On the morning of July 14, 2015 patrol officers responded to a request for assistance at the Sault Area Hospital. Investigation by officers revealed the accused, a 33 yr.

On the morning of July 14, 2015 patrol officers responded to a request for assistance at the Sault Area Hospital.  Investigation by officers revealed the accused, a 33 yr. old male, had broken a glass window and threatened and assaulted hospital staff.  As a result of their investigation the accused was arrested. During the arrest, the accused assaulted and threatened the officers. The accused is charged with Assault, Assault Police, Threatening and Mischief. He will be appearing in court July 15, 2015.

Overnight a vehicle was entered in the 600 block of Schafer Ave.  Money and  CDs were reported stolen

On July 13, 2015 officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit and Crime Suppression Unit executed a CDSA search warrant on a Wellington Street East apartment. Located in the search were 21 marijuana plants as well as equipment used to assist in the cultivation of the plants.

The two residents of the apartment, 27-year-old Chelsey Hunter and 63-year-old Serge Blanchard have both been charged with production of marijuana. Hunter has also been charged with breaching her probation order. Both accused will appear in court on August 17.
