Male Charged with Threatening Death

A 40-year old male will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested yesterday afternoon. It is alleged that on Christmas Eve the accused threatened to damage his ex-girlfriends place as well as threatening to kill the ex-girlfriends new boyfriend. The accused turn himself into City Police without incident yesterday. He has been charged with one count of threatening to damage property and one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm.

Male Turns Himself In

A 52-year old male turned himself into City Police last evening after he was wanted for assault from an incident on New Years Eve. It is alleged that the male got into an argument with a female family member while in a west end residence and grabbed the victim by the throat. The victim did not require medical treatment for her injuries. Alcohol was involved in the incident. The male has been charged with one count of assault and will appear in court on January 25th.
44-year old Constance Green of 1-39 Albert Street East will also appear in bail court this morning after being arrested last evening on an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that back in October of 2004 the accused assaulted another female by punching her. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation. A warrant was requested when officers were unable to locate the accused back in the fall. The accused has been charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation.

Break and Enter

City Police received 2 reports of break and enters yesterday. A home in the 300 block of Goulais Avenue was broken into sometime between New Years Eve and the 3rd. The thieves made off with liquor, stereo equipment, a Game Boy unit and money. A break and enter was also reported in the 100 block of Bitonti Crescent. During the afternoon hours someone entered the home and took several credit cards, a small amount of cash and jewellery.
