Two Males Appear in Bail Court This Morning
23-year old Craig Pelletier of no fixed address was arrested last evening and charged with one count of breach of a release order, one count of possession of house breaking tools, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of theft over $5,000 in relation to a motor vehicle. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of January 30th the accused stole a car from a residence on Albion Street. The accused and the victim are known to each other. It is further alleged that the accused also took a portable DVD player and a laptop computer from the residence as well. The accused was stopped later in the day by the Blind River O.P.P. and was turned over to the City Police. When the accused was taken into custody officers noted that the accused had a hammer and several screwdrivers with him.
42-year old Richi Altomare of Milton Ontario was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of personation and count of use stolen credit card data. It is alleged that the accused purchased a DVD player and TV from Muntz Stereo on Trunk Road using a stolen credit card. It is further alleged that the accused provided a name other than his own to purchase the items. Staff at the Muntz Store became suspicious and called City Police. As a result of their investigation the accused was arrested and charged.
Outstanding Warrant Arrests
18-year old Michael Genetti of 180 Huron Street was arrested yesterday morning after being arrested on an outstanding warrant for one count of failing to appear for fingerprints in December of 2005. The accused will appear in court on March 6th.
Yesterday morning 46-year old Ronald Williams of 45-864 Queen Street East was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for one count of failing to appear for fingerprints earlier this month. He will appear in court on March 6th.
Male Charged with Mischief
25-year old Joey Guilbeult of 3-8 Queen Street East was arrested last evening around 9:30 pm. City Police were called to 2 Queen Street East, also known as River Rock and the O’Aces, in regards to a male damaging a room at the address. It is alleged that the accused damaged a door and a wall in one of the rooms. The accused has been charged with one count of mischief and will appear in court on March 6th.
Break and Enter
City Police received one report of a break and enter in the last 24-hour period. Yesterday morning just before 8 am a break and enter was report to the F. R. Mills Centre located at 240 St. George’s Avenue East. An IBM Think Pad laptop computer was taken. The incident is believed to have occurred over the weekend.
