Armed Robbery
Just shortly after 1:30 am this morning two males entered the Mac’s Convenience Store located at 312 Wellington Street East and robbed the store. Both males brandished knives and made off with an undisclosed amount of money and some cigarettes. The clerk was not harmed in the incident. The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect number 1 is described as being 5’9”-5’10” tall, 200 lbs, late 30’s to early 40’s and brown eyes. He was wearing a light coloured jean jacket, light coloured baggy jeans-older style, black leather gloves, a black balaclava and dirty white sports shoes, similar to tennis shoes.
Suspect number 2 is described as being 6’-6’1” tall with a thin build. He was wearing a purple pullover hooded sweater with a design on the front that includes the colours red, yellow and blue. He was also wearing faded blue jeans that were an older style and loose fitting. He had on dark sports shoes.
Both males fled the store on foot and were last seen headed south on Bruce Street towards Queen Street East. Patrol officers responded to the area and officers from Investigation Services were called out for this robbery and are currently investigating it at this time.

Male Arrested on Breach of a Release Order
49-year old Marcel Beaulieu of 1-125 Gore Street will appear in bail court this morning. Yesterday afternoon City Police attended in the Station Mall to remove the accused who was failing to leave when directed to do so by Station Mall Security. Officers found that the accused had been consuming alcohol. A query of the male revealed that he was on a release order with conditions not to consume alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for one count of breach of a release order.
Outstanding Warrants
Yesterday an 18-year old female was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints. 5 minutes later City Police arrested a 57-year old male for the same offence at a different location. Both were charged with failing to appear for fingerprints and both will also appear in court on February 20th. Charged are 18-year old Trudy Swanson of 337 North Street and 57-year-old Peter Sprague of 379 Pine Street.
24-year old Alfred Peters of 164 Southmarket Street was arrested yesterday morning on an outstanding warrant for fail to notify change of address. The accused will appear in court on February 20th.
