3 People Arrested After Search
Last evening officers from Investigation Services, assisted by Patrol Service and the Emergency Service Unit, attended at a residence in the 300 block of Albert Street West regarding a search warrant. Officers arrested 3 persons, 2 of whom will be appearing in bail court this morning:
1)19-year old Tyler Seaton of 364 Albert Street West was arrested and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of assault with a weapon, and one count of breach of a release order. It is alleged that on the 21st of January the accused assaulted an adult male by striking the victim with a pipe as well as kicking the victim while in the downtown area. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. During the search of the residence officers also located 14 grams of marijuana with a street value of approximately $350. Tyler Seaton was also charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and will appear in bail court this morning.
2)A 17-year old youth was also charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of assault causing bodily harm in connection with the victim mentioned in the arrest of 19-year old Tyler Seaton. This youth was also charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance in relation to the 14 grams of marijuana. In addition the youth was also charged with one count of breach of probation. This youth will appear in bail court this morning.
3)A 15-year old youth located in the residence at the time of the warrant was also charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance in relation to the 14 grams of marijuana seized. This youth will appear in court on March 28th.
14-Yr Old Aressted Along With 15-Yr Old Friend
A 14-year old youth was arrested yesterday morning and charged with one count of breach of a release order and 4 counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the youth was in the company of a 15-year old youth while on conditions not to associate with this youth. This occurred on the 14th of February. This youth will appear in bail court this morning.
The 15-year old youth who was allegedly with the above charged youth was also arrested yesterday morning and charged with one count of breach of a release order and one count of personation with intent. It is alleged on the 14th of February the accused was with the above-mentioned youth but provided a name other than their own to the police. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.
Elliot Rd Resident Arrested
24-year old James Lorimer of basement apartment-105 Elliot Road will appear in bail court this morning. The accused was arrested yesterday morning on an outstanding warrant for one count of breach of probation and one count of unlawfully at large.
Arrest For Outstanding Warrants
48-year old Dennis Mitri of 1-519 Queen Street East was arrested yesterday afternoon on outstanding warrants for two counts of fail to appear for fingerprints. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.
Domestic Dispute
A 37-year old male will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested just before 3 am this morning. Officers attended at an east end residence in regards to a domestic dispute. Officers located the accused in the residence. The accused was on a release order not to associate with the female. The male has been charged with one count of breach of a release order.
Break And Enters
Officers took a report of a break and enter and mischief complaint yesterday afternoon. A vacant building located at 181 Greenfield Drive was broken into. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers took a report of an attempt break and enter to a residence in the 100 block of Breton Road. Entry was not gained.
Vandalizing In East End
Yesterday afternoon and last evening City Police received a number of reports of mischief by spray painting in the City’s east end. A number of vehicles on Trunk Road were spray-painted, a home in the 100 block of Gibb Street was painted, 3 cars on Rankin Road were painted, and a truck and a garage door on Chambers Avenue were painted. Motor Vehicle Collision With Injuries
Just after 4 pm yesterday afternoon City Police attended at the intersection of Wellington Street East and Churchill Boulevard for a motor vehicle collision with injuries. A pickup truck operated by 43-year old Fred Fabbro of Huntington Park was traveling eastbound on Wellington Street East. A van operated by 66-year old Don Court of Elaine Court was stopped on Churchill Boulevard for the red light. It is alleged that a car operated by a 17-year old youth turned left in front of the Fabbro vehicle from Wellington Street East onto Churchill Boulevard. The two vehicle collided and the car operated by the 17-year old youth than ran into the Court vehicle. The car sustained severe damage, the pickup truck received moderate damage and the van received light damage. Mr. Fabbro was taken by ambulance to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The youth was been charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario with one count of left turn-fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision.
